Social media is the favourite platform for scammers. Here, they can easily find a pool of innocent people whom they can manipulate with ease. Charity Fraud

Fraudulent people pose as charitable organizations and pretend to collect charity. They claim to collect funds for people suffering from diseases, malnutrition, or natural disaster. These scammers even provide proof to the supposed recipients of the donations and proof of successful donation. However, all the proof is fictitious. This kind of fraud is especially despicable since the scammers use the actual suffering of others for personal, selfish gain.

Online Banking Fraud

People hack phone numbers and call their victims from official bank helplines. These scammers pose as bank officials and demand that people give them their bank details. Otherwise, they threaten to block their accounts due to information security concerns. People fall for this scam quite often and give up their bank details. As a result, they end up losing all the money in their account.
